RULES FOR VISITORS 2026

As with other MotoGP events, United States Grand Prix visitors must abide by the rules set by the organisers. Below you will find a basic overview of them, updated for the 2026 season:

WHAT CAN'T YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

Items that could be used to damage or deface property, obstruct or interrupt the race, or pose a threat to public safety, as well as any merchandise or tickets intended for commercial distribution, and any dangerous objects, are prohibited by law.

All attendees entering the entertainment area will undergo a mandatory security check. In 2026, COTA has introduced advanced screening technology to speed up entry. Refusal to comply may result in denial of entry without a refund.

Please be aware that certain items are not permitted in the entertainment area. The list of prohibited items includes, but is not limited to:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Animals or pets (except for registered service animals)
  • Bags larger than 12x12x20 inches (approx. 30x30x50 centimetres). Note: Clear bags are highly recommended for faster entry in 2026.
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, skates, segways, golf carts or other unauthorised means of transportation.
  • Coolers, thermoses or refrigerators (hard-sided or large ice chests)
  • Metal water bottles or glass containers of any kind (strictly enforced in 2026)
  • Drones and all remote-controlled aircraft
  • Outside food and beverages (except for one sealed water bottle)
  • Fireworks, explosives, flares or other incendiary devices
  • Aerosol cans (including sunscreen or bug spray in spray cans)
  • Unauthorised substances
  • Large quantities of E-liquid (standard personal vapes are okay in designated zones only)
  • Items that may be considered a safety hazard (i.e. balls, frisbees, balloons, projectiles, horns, radios, bells, whistles, musical instruments, laser pointers, etc.)
  • Non-folding chairs
  • Tents, shelters or large beach umbrellas
  • Unauthorised promotional or commercial material
  • Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, pepper spray, and selfie sticks (considered a safety hazard).

WHAT CAN YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

We usually advise MotoGP race attendees to pack light and bring only the essentials. For the 2026 season, please note that COTA is a cashless venue. Ensure you have a credit/debit card or mobile payment (Apple Pay/Google Pay) ready for all food and merchandise purchases.

Here's a list of items you can bring:

  • Baby Strollers
  • Binoculars
  • Blankets
  • Camelbaks (must be completely empty upon entry)
  • One 20oz (approx. 0,6 litre) factory-sealed plastic water bottle per guest
  • Personal photography equipment (e.g., digital cameras, detachable lenses).
  • Please note: Tripods, bipods, monopods and selfie sticks are strictly prohibited.
  • Portable folding chairs (collapsible only, for General Admission areas)
  • Sunscreen (plastic squeeze bottles only, no aerosol cans)
  • Umbrellas (small, hand-held, must not obstruct the view of others)
  • Small personal battery packs/power banks for mobile phones.

Pro tip for 2026: Download your digital tickets to your mobile wallet before arriving at the circuit, as mobile network coverage can be limited due to the high volume of fans.
